  1. It doesnt change your perspective on life as they claim it does but its still pretty cool Review by Eddie
    Rating

The uk propole 22 is everything you expect it to be, a pole with a camera mount on the end. It is very strong for how much it weighs (which is quite light). They do not include the acorn nut neccessary for mounting a camera. This site tries to sell them to you for ten bucks but you can pick em up for 50 cents at home depot. The mount itself is a little difficult to attach it so you get a 90 degree position. (Posted on 9/5/12)

  2. Great product ! Review by Francis
    Rating

(Posted on 9/1/12)

  3. It IS Wireless Review by MRichey
    Rating

I've been using the SG31 for surveillance purposes for about 3 years now. Not sure why the previous reviewer says i t is not wireless. It is and actually works very well. It is very tricky to get set up correctly for whatever mode you're wanting, but once you have it set it is easy to work after that. I always set mine for motion recording and when new I got as much as 36hrs of battery life (NOT 24 hours of recording) each time I set it up. The # of hours you get from the battery really depends on how frequently the camera is recording. Like any 'rechargable' battery, it does start to lose it's life. I've used mine 100's of times over the last 3 yrs and I'm down to about 6 hours per charge using the motion function in a relatively low traffic area. Still, it has paid for itself many times over in the time saved installing a camera and closure of investigations. I actually superglued 2 small magnets to the little pastic bracket so I can simply stick it to a steel upright and walk away. The batteries DO NOT affect the recording or memory card. If not for the frustrating initial troubleshooting I would have given this 5 stars. (Posted on 8/23/12)

  4. Great mount that's easily adjustable Review by Brian D
    Rating

I do not agree with previous post. I have a Burton Theory helmet and had no issues having the 3M Base for the Contour 360 Mount staying put. I used my Contour mounted on the 360 mount for 20+ days of snowboarding and the base is still going strong. I just recently purchased another base to use on my Fox Flux MTB helmet and have no problems with it staying put on that helmet either. The base has flexible fingers that work well on rounded surfaces. I simply followed the instructions supplied with base.
The 360 mount is ideal for shifting your camera angles around on the fly. I've found the mechanism that clasps the base to the mount to be easily opened and closed while the helmet is still on my head. Pair that with the Contour App on my iPhone and I can view camera angles to make sure it is alligned appropriately.
I really like how you can purchase more base mounts and use the 360 mount on different things.
The only complaint I could give would be the height, which only is noticeable when the foot rests on lifts are used or low branches on the trails. I would still recommend based on that complaint, because once you're used to it, you adjust accordingly. (Posted on 8/10/12)

  5. Great water proof case Review by Cory S
    Rating

I was looking for a water proof case for my Contour HD.. I couldn't find one locally, MEC has this Contour + for a very good price. I bought it and found that the on off button doesn't work with my HD and the switch on top wasnt quite right. Well I figured out that turning the record magnet 180o and it works like a charm. I'm not too concerned about the On and Off function right now. Maybe I'll have to upgrade to a new Contour cam.
    Awesome product:)

  6. Amazing video, super light... nice product Review by Seb

I received my Durango two weeks ago, and I am really impressed by the video Quality. The glasses are really nice and so light you won't feel uncomfortable wearing them all day long. You need to make some recording test to avoid shaking the head too much. Was fine for me after 15 minutes.

I just have ordered the Air Pivothead (had to do it Pivothead website) and I can not wait to connect that device to my iPhone. (Posted on 8/9/12)

  7. so far, disappointing Review by JD
    Rating

Consider this review as part 1:

Bought these for taking photos while rock climbing. The main challenge is that right out of the box, they don't work. These three lights flash on the side, and nothing else. I can understand how a product can not work after a while, but if they turn them on once in the factory and don't work, that would have caught these glasses before being shipped to me. I emailed Pivothead and they seem nice enough and want to help. They just don't know what the problem is. After I submitted my questions, they uploaded a flurry of new downloads to their support page, to help with firmware upgrades. Either they are really trying to help me or there is a widespread problem and the firmware downloads are an attempt to help a whole group of customers. Not sure.

I look forward to reviewing the actual product when/if it works. Part 2 review from me will depend greatly on how things go from here. I have never had to ship something back to a company but I'm already annoyed at the idea of having to box and lineup at the post office. If only they just turned them on once at the exit from the assembly line....all this time (mine and theirs) would not have been wasted.

    stay tuned,

    JD (Posted on 8/5/12)
