GoPro has got more hours in development of their sound recording system than most companies put into their entire camera. When you hit ludicrous speed and only hear enough wind sound to let you know you're hauling the mail... you'll appreciate GoPro's OCD approach to sound.
5 Megapixel Photo Modes
While you might be after HD video, you might also just want a 5MP photo for a nice big print. That's why the 170° lens is sharp from corner to corner, edge to edge... and why the 1.4 LUX low light performance is industry leading and why the 5MP sensor is a massive 1/2.5 inches.
2, 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds Auto-Photo Mode. See the photo above? That was shot with the camera is photo every two seconds mode. Just press the shutter button and forget about it. The battery lasts for over 2 hours of shooting a photo every 2 seconds.
3-Photo Burst Mode. Shoot 3 photos in two second burst mode. GoPro purposely spaced the photos out over 2 seconds to give you sequence-friendly timing.
Self-Timer Mode. Grab your fellow HEROs and strike a pose. What's a camera without a bit of tradition? Get your self-timer on and GoPro!

Rating Got mine for a trip to Colorado to go skiing. Have now 4 days on four separate mountains, best gadget I have ever bought. No complaints at all, no viewfinder? who cares, you point in the general direction and the wide angle lens picks up.
Battery? I got an extra with my megapack, 2.5 hours filming no problem with space on the 16GB card it came with, thing rocks!! litterally just freaking rocks!!
If you are ever stopped at the side of the ski run with cold hands filming your buddies by one.
if you are always saying ah crap that was awesome wish we had filmed it.. buy one.
Litterally just buy one. Also youtube: pickadolla007 watch what hes done with his camera, mounting the camera on a stick and film yourself and your buddies, bloody brilliant, works way better than you could ever imagine and you need approx 3' of stick to mount the thing on to get yourself in frame with your board and the run.

Rating Used this camera while snorkeling in Hawaii, awesome clarity, great underwater videos. Now using this camera while snowboarding. Once again, great videos! Only concern is gopro need to make a tether for the helmet hero.( if you're not wrecking, you're not trying!) (Posted on 2/6/10)
