With a new faster f2.4 lens for double the sharpness and enhanced low light performance, you can capture super wide 170 degree field of view 1080p videos with enhanced brightness and clarity. With the new sensor comes faster photo multi frame shooting that is better than even dslr's at up to 10 frames per second. Choose from 30fps to 120fps for super smooth slow mo, it's your choice. Whether you want to capture footage of a wild run through backcountry roads or you want to record and study lapping footage to learn how to set a new track record, the HD HERO2: Motorsports Edition can produce exceptionally sharp and colorful results.
Wide Angle of View
Capture the action you need in multiple fields of view. The GoPro HD HERO 2 offers a full 170°, 127° or 90° shooting in 1080p and 720p video. Select the optimal field of view for your activity: 170° to capture the widest point of view, making sure you get everything in the shot; 127° for shots that are still wide, but not so wide that you get a fisheye effect; and 90° for those close in shots where you don't need a huge field of view.
Intuitive, Easy To Use Interface
Unlike the interface on the original HD HERO, which was difficult to understand with its abbreviations and codes, the new LCD panel message are now language based with easy to read and understand words and settings, making camera setup a breeze. New LED lights on all sides of the camera let you know whether the camera is on at a glance.
Extra Ports Means Extra Options
The GoPro HD HERO2 Motorsports comes with a mini HDMI port for connecting to external HD displays so you can quickly review your adventures without needing to transfer to a laptop or computer first. Good audio is a mark of a professional video so the HD HERO2 includes a mini 3.5mm audio port so you can attach your own professional microphones to the GoPro HD HERO2 Motorsport for optimal audio to match the video.
Backwards Compatible Even with all the improvements the GoPro HD HERO2 Motorsport Edition case is the same size as the older HD HERO. If you already own a HD HERO you can be sure all your old mounts and accessories will fit this new camera.
Wifi BacPac Wireless Control Compatible
With the new Wifi BacPac (sold separately), you will be able to record wirelessly from multiple camera setups with up to 50 GoPro HEROs! The Wi-Fi BacPac attaches to your HD HERO2 camera, making recording long range video by remote control via the Wi-Fi Remote, a smartphone, tablet, or computer running the free GoPro App possible. Now you can remotely control the camera or preview and playback video wirelessly.
The HD HERO2: Outdoor Edition is compatible with all GoPro expansion accessories and BacPacs™, including the Wi-Fi BacPac and Wi-Fi Remote.
