- Great mount that's easily adjustable Review by Brian D

I do not agree with previous post. I have a Burton Theory helmet and had no issues having the 3M Base for the Contour 360 Mount staying put. I used my Contour mounted on the 360 mount for 20+ days of snowboarding and the base is still going strong. I just recently purchased another base to use on my Fox Flux MTB helmet and have no problems with it staying put on that helmet either. The base has flexible fingers that work well on rounded surfaces. I simply followed the instructions supplied with base.Rating
The 360 mount is ideal for shifting your camera angles around on the fly. I've found the mechanism that clasps the base to the mount to be easily opened and closed while the helmet is still on my head. Pair that with the Contour App on my iPhone and I can view camera angles to make sure it is alligned appropriately.
I really like how you can purchase more base mounts and use the 360 mount on different things.
The only complaint I could give would be the height, which only is noticeable when the foot rests on lifts are used or low branches on the trails. I would still recommend based on that complaint, because once you're used to it, you adjust accordingly. (Posted on 8/10/12) - Disapointed Review by David Egan

I purchased this mount for use on my Burton RED Helmet. All previous contour adhesive mounts seemed to be made for flat surfaces therefore I was very pleased to see this addition to an already solid Contour lineup.Rating
I was hopeful that the base (the adhesive portion) would easily mold to the surface of my curved helmet. I was wrong.
The base is made of solid plastic. While it does "give" slightly - about as well as you'd expect hard plastic to mold (very little - even less than many current contour mounts) it certainly wasn't the soft rubber type base that should have been used to ensure it would curve to nearly all surface types.
To make matters worse, the adhesive used (at least in the one I received) was much weaker than typical contour mounts. Although the center portion was really the only part making solid contact to the helmet, it wasn't sticking enough to support it's own weight (this is just the base, not the green and black top portion attached) the base basically weights nothing and yet slipped off with ease.
Contour - why you didn't use soft molding legs for this base (such a rubber or much thinner plastic) is beyond me - bottom line: if you are looking for a mount to use on a curved surface.. this most likely will not be the solution. (Posted on 2/8/12)
