  1. Nice helmet cam Review by Gab
    Rating

It's a good quality hd camera for action sports, + waterproof up to a 1 meter. 3 hd 720, 960, 1080 HD. Easy to set-up & easy to use. Good price & enough features for the price. The turn on switch is the best out there for me, simple to use. Overall a great 1st timer to helmet cams.

  2. Made Of Plastic Review by Razar
    Rating

The part that holds the most important and expensive piece ( the camera) is made of plastic and broke before I even had a chance to use it one time. I called Contours customer service number but they never returned my call. This part is not on their parts list so I will have to order another roll bar mount kit, Should have gone with a Go Pro. Must be a reason they are #1 (Posted on 3/14/12)

  3. Disapointed Review by David Egan

I purchased this mount for use on my Burton RED Helmet. All previous contour adhesive mounts seemed to be made for flat surfaces therefore I was very pleased to see this addition to an already solid Contour lineup.

I was hopeful that the base (the adhesive portion) would easily mold to the surface of my curved helmet. I was wrong.

The base is made of solid plastic. While it does "give" slightly - about as well as you'd expect hard plastic to mold (very little - even less than many current contour mounts) it certainly wasn't the soft rubber type base that should have been used to ensure it would curve to nearly all surface types.

To make matters worse, the adhesive used (at least in the one I received) was much weaker than typical contour mounts. Although the center portion was really the only part making solid contact to the helmet, it wasn't sticking enough to support it's own weight (this is just the base, not the green and black top portion attached) the base basically weights nothing and yet slipped off with ease.

Contour - why you didn't use soft molding legs for this base (such a rubber or much thinner plastic) is beyond me - bottom line: if you are looking for a mount to use on a curved surface.. this most likely will not be the solution. (Posted on 2/8/12)

  4. Good idea, but beware Review by Jesster

Works great on paintball gun, airsoft and small caliber "real" guns. But does not hold up to recoil from medium - large caliber rifles or shotguns. I broke mine in 5 shots when mounted on a 12 ga. (Posted on 1/12/12)

  5. Ok camera Review by Twig

The 30 fps is too slow for what I was looking for. I snowboard and the camera doesn't keep up with me. It seems slow and lagging. Otherwise one of the simplist cameras to use and the sleek design is nice for recording your activities and allowing your hands to be free. (Posted on 1/10/12)

  6. Excellent case! Review by Jimbo

I got this little unit here for scuba diving in Mexico, hit 100 feet down with 0 issues. Crystal clear view and super easy to use. With the weight of the camera and the displacement of the case, it makes it basically neutrally bouyant. Got excellent video of sharks and sea lions. A MUST have if you intend to use for watersports. Had other divers tell me they paid $2000.00+ for underwater cameras that took worse video. (Posted on 1/4/12)
