The POV.1.5M is a cutting edge, fully integrated point-of-view (POV) video system that's waterproof (the tethered camera head is rated at IP67 (IPX7): water proof to a depth of 1 meter (~3 ft) for up to 30 minutes), dustproof, and shock-resistant. The system includes 110° mountable camera head, video recorder with Exposure Control Firmware 1.4, wireless remote, Power Hatch, plus software for managing your point-of-view videos.

The Vio POV Power Hatch Accessory allows you to power the POV camera off any 12 volt source in cars, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and more.

You need a wide angle lense to really capture the sense of speed of a car or motorcycle race. The V.I.O POV.1.5M MOTO has a 110° Wide Camera Head to take in the full scenery and put the viewer right "in the action". Regular digital cameras only have a maximum 60 to 75 degree angle of view. You won't believe how much of a difference this makes until you see it in action.

Hands Free Recording and Wireless Remote

You need your hands on the wheel or handlebar to wrangle difficult turns or unexpected wild bumps. You don't want to be adjusting your camera in the middle of the race. That's why the V.I.O. POV.1.5M MOTO handles the focus and white balance so you can concentrate on the race. A wireless remote is include so you turn the camera on or off from your wrist or any attached gear.

The POV.1.5's innovative new "star mounting" system is totally unique in the pov cam industry. The special shape is flexible enough to fit onto any surface. Six powerful magnets are provided where three fit into each arm of the star mount; this creates a firm stable mount for securing to any metalic surface and keeps the wind resistance of the pov cam to a minimum. This system is extremely strong and the POV.1.5 cam will never slip off.

The POV.1.5M records its videos using MPEG4, so you can use your Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Mac computer to view them.

Mac:
Plug the POV.1 into a USB port or insert the SD card into a card reader in your computer. After a simple installation of quicktime components for MPEG-4, you'll be able to browse all of the videos, view them through Quicktime, and edit them in iMovie!

PC:
Install V.I.O.'s POV Manager software: simple, intuitive software that allows you to view, edit, and share video easily. For example:

A “POV Recorder” window shows thumbnails of videos saved on the connected POV.1, and a “POV Library” window shows thumbnails of videos stored on your hard drive.
Drag and drop video clips from the POV Recorder to the POV Library to move them between the POV.1 and your computer, or drag onto a play area to play them back in either actual size or full screen.
See tags on the timeline during playback, and extract clips to the “Storyboard” window to quickly edit your video.
Use the “Share” function to email your clips and upload them to V.I.O. where they can be seen by your friends.
